POD captured the #1 spot with
Rock The Party on MTV US's Total Request Live this Wednesday! P.O.D. became the first
artist in Atlantic Records history to go #1, and only the third Rock act in TRL history to
hit #1. The band members were guests of the show the day before. POD likes to thank all
the people who kept on voting for them. If you want to continue to support them, go to MTV. Click Play My
Song and vote for their Rock The Party! Just like TRL the band wants to take the album
(Fundamental Elements Of Southtown) to #1 on Billboard Top 200. Special TRL message from
Sonny (from P.O.D.'s tour bus -Where they are currently on the Ozzfest Tour): "What's
up fellow warriors? Words can't explain what we feel at this moment! You
have proven far and beyond your loyalty to your faith and to your GOD. You all are
making history in this industry right now. You have accomplished the inconceivable.
Who would have ever guessed that we (you and us) would be number 1on TRL?
It's because of you guys and your dedication to your GOD and your hearts desire to see the
LOVE of GOD shine upon a confused and hurting world that we are making a difference.
This world has nothing to offer us. We are setting new grounds that command
recognition and respect for our beliefs. There is no one more loyal and more
dedicated than you, and this industry has no choice but to recognize your passion and your
dedication to this movement. GOD has shined his face so bright on us this day,
and we are forever grateful for such an undeserved favor. Because of you, a message
of LOVE has gone forth today to all the world. To all the world I believe that we
have done exactly what GOD expects of us.We have shown the unconditional, graceful,
compassionate, understanding LOVE that only GOD can give. To HIM we are forever
grateful. You are truly a blessing to us. There is no one out there like you
guys. You continue to prove that daily through your actions and your prayers.
Your commitment to your faith has proven strong, and nobody can deny that. GOD has
and will continue to get the Glory for everything that has been done and will be done as
long as he continues to use us in this industry. Our prayers of LOVE go out to you
on the daily, because we know that GOD has used you to do exactly his good and perfect
will. You guys amaze us everyday. Again I say, there is no one like you
guys. Together we have accomplished the impossible. And we will do so as long as GOD
permits. Hugs and Holy kisses to every single one of you for making this possible.
Thank you so much for your faithfulness and your LOVE. Much LOVE and respect to all of you
from all of us at the P.O.D. headquarters. Who knows, what could happen next?
GOD BLESS you Brothas and Sistas. May GOD continue to use you to shine on a world
that needs you so much. FOREVER PRAISED the SON of GOD, CHRIST JESUS.......we
love you guys.....till next time, keep doing what your doing.......sonny(payable
on death)-"

Dead, Gethsemani, Tortured Conscience, Sculpture, Antidemon, Vaakevandring, Crimson Thorn, Salutary.
Bad news from the Deuteronomium camp: Drummer J-J
Kontoniemi has decided to leave the band after the German tour, so most likely the band
will not play any gigs during 2000 after this tour. As you know vocalist and guitarist
Miika Partala decided to leave Deuteronomium earlier this year. The remaining members of
the band, Manu Lehtinen and Kalle Paju are now searching for a new vocalist, guitarist and
drummer.

Tim Gaines has recently parted
ways with his band SinDizzy to be
able to spend more time in his latest effort with the Irene Kelly band. Irenes CD entitled If You Were Here was
produced by Tim and he feels the CD to be his best overall performance as a bassist and
musician to date. Tim states that lack of interest by band members, lack of label
interest, and direction of the band, prompted his decision to part ways and move on to
other opportunities. Tim has also given up his role as webmaster for Sindizzy.com
and the Sindizzy Discussion Zone. Tim extends to Oz, John and Bobby all of his best wishes
and notes that there are no ill feelings between the band members, and hope they succeed
in their efforts as a band to continue on with their next album.
Restless Records
released the release date for the official Truth album by Michael Sweet. This newer version
of the record will be made available on October 10th 2000. Michael will also release a DVD
of his former band Stryper, but only
through his website. It will contain "Live In Japan", "In The
Beginning" and unreleased live footage.
Bad news from the Stretch Arm Strong front....the
band got to play in San Francisco last week and Chris, the singer, had to fly home and be
with his wife who had to go into surgery unexpected and the rest of the tour had to be
canceled. The band apologizes for this but it couldn't be helped. Please keep
Chris and his family in your thoughts
Jamie Rowe (formerly of Guardian) reports:
"Well, I have had a
cool development this week. I had written a song as a request of a certain
Forefront Records staffer. Low and behold...the song is being tracked in
Nashville with mega producer Mookie Taylor. I am recording some lead vocals but most of
the vocals will be with Toby Mac from DC Talk!! He is also gonna tweak some lyrics with
his 'flava'.Anyway, I am stoked. The song is in the 'Methods Of Mayhem' mode. Forefront is
even considering having the man who mixed that disk mix this song. At this point it will
be on a soundtrack...but also looks like it may end up on a Toby Mac project as well.
We'll see!"
Sally Forth Records says Soapbox is about to release
their full length album. It will be called A Divided Man. They will smoke and burn their
steel once again.
The Spirit That
Guides Us. Emotional hardcore from the Dutch grounds, which sounds familiar, but
different. Hopefully you havent thrown away your turntable, because the
release will be on 7 inch vinyl to be released by Sally Forth Records. The
Spirit That Guides Us features members from The Crutch and Subatlantic Starfish. You'll
find this band on the 7 inch together with the Lionheart Brothers.
Speaking of The
Lionheart Brothers. Sally Forth
Records is proud to present the new Sally Family members from the North. They have
their residence in Trondheim, Norway. The label describes them as: "Heavy emotions,
modest guitarplay, once in a while a terrifying and an intoxicated voice characterizes
their music. No songs, but difficult, refreshing sound-structures,who only a few can
construct. Nothing is normal about this band, but if you listen a little bite closer, than
there is nothing more than to fall in love with this effusive, extravagant music of the
Lionheart Brothers. Comparison with Roadside Monument is easy, but these Norwegians give
their own Scandinavian drive to it all." A website of The Lionheart Brothers is expected later this year.
Heres some
closer information concerning the new Finnish Metal Compilation, volume 2. The bands that

the Hallowed EP recording: The Finnish power metallers Hallowed have been spending some
time in studio during this summer recording their debut EP. They have now finished the

News from the
Celldweller camp. Mastermind Klayton (also known for Circle Of Dust) will be going to Detroit at the end of the month to
complete the recording of the upcoming full-length Celldweller CD. The recording and
mixing will be a three-month long process. The CD will be available through the
Celldweller website soon after its completion. Nearly all of the material has been written
for the new release. The last three songs Klayton has written are Stay With Me,
Uncrowned and Under My Feet. As with many of the Celldweller songs, Klayton
continues to explore new musical and sonic landscapes. In particular, Under My Feet
starts with an acoustic/vocal section that builds into a majestic choir of percussion and
energy. The song brings yet another angle to the musical mix of Celldweller and will
be a fresh addition to modern music.

recently on their tour with Dillinger Escape Plan. Chris, the drummer of Spitfire,

for the L.A. metal band called Warrior. Rob will be singing on the new Warrior album

the Silver Cloud Studios, the same place where Rage Of Creation was recorded, Rob's solo
endeavor.
On June 26th
Armageddon Holocaust released its one and only album Into Total Destruction through THT
Productions, Indonesia. Armageddon Holocaust is an extreme musical entity consisting
of Dark Doktor, a sole member of Indonesian Black Metal band Bealiah, and Dark Thriller.
They release only one album before the band disbands itself. Jeff from Kekal helped on the solo guitars and
he produced the entire album. Into Total Destruction was recorded & mixed at Jeff's
private home studio VisionStudio. Their musical concept is what they call
Destruction metal with the fastest, most extreme and intense structure of black metal
music. The lyrical concept is focused on the chronological apocalyptic prophecies about
the destruction of the Earth and its false inhabitants.
Tourniquet has been confirmed
to play the Milwaukee Metalfest on

P.O.D.'s new video Rock The Party
has been added into rotation onto
MTV USA. Rock The Party follows Southtown. According to the band this is the party song of
the Summer. If any of you caught the Korn / P.O.D. show
at Wembley Arena in London you may have seen some familiar faces. Simon and
Christian from Blindside
got to perform with their good friends P.O.D. and said it was amazing.
Zao will not tour
through Europe. This means they will not appear on the DP Fest, the Freakstock Festival
and the Peacedog Festival.
Antithesis is writing for a new
CD. Five tunes have been completed and the other half of the CD is under
construction. Antithesis will be headed into the
studio the first week of September to begin tracking. Cover art will be done by an
artist from Switzerland.
The new Immortal Souls album is delayed.
The album Under The Northern
Sky will most likely be released by the time snow arrives. According to record-company Little Rose Productions this is only
natural as Immortal Souls are a Winter Metal band. "Could you imagine releasing a
winter metal-album in the midst of summer? We can't, so we decided to release the album
later this year." It seems there are some other reasons for delaying the
releasedate of the album. Little Rose Productions says there are some wild plans
too. According to the band they will have a single release out sooner, with the song The
Cleansing and couple of other new songs. Release date of the album will be set soon. The
Finnish band were supposed to play the Nocturnal Metal Fest in Finland on June 17th but
their show is cancelled due to other obligations of their guitarist.
Black metal band Mordecai is still working on the
material for their forthcoming full album. Due to some problems the release date has been
forced to be delayed into the future, but Little Rose Productions assures that the album will be released. The
band is also looking for a new drummer (so, if you live in Finland...). The new stuff is
very fast black metal which sets the standards for the drummer. The album however, will be
recorded with a session drummer, Johny Pesonen, who also appeared on Deuteronomium's
debut EP, Tribal Eagle.
Talking about Deuteronomium....They will play some
gigs during the summer throughout Europe (Holland, Germany, Norway) Former
vocalist/guitarist Miika Partala agreed to do these shows as the band's still looking for
a new vocalist and guitarist.
More touring news.

appeared on the Finnish Metal Compilation CD From
Kaamos To Midnight Sun has been spending some time in the studio recording some songs to
be released on their debut EP later this year. The EP will be
released on Little Rose Productions

is Michael Majalahti. According to Little Rose the band has taken a huge step forward
since Kaamos.

Rock-Impellitteri Advocacy

Here's some info
from the Mortification camp.
As you know vocalist/bassist Steve Rowe went through a struggle with cancer. Though he
came through the disease he still suffers from the body damages. Currently he is
continuing to improve, although he is still struggling with walking because of motor
paralysis, and he still has kidney, heart and spinal problems. Many of you may have heard
last year that doctors were giving Steve only another two years to live. They have now
told him that he should expect to live another twenty years.
Mortificaton is
planning on doing a full world tour in June and July of 2001with a possible spill over
into August. They will be travelling to South Africa, Europe, the USA and South
America. Recently the band released The Mortification 10 Years Live CD to celebrate the
tenth anniversary. Unfortunately, the video did not turn out, so the album is only
released as a CD

For the fans of Deliverance there's
some good news. Though the band is still a side project on Jimmy Brown's mind (he's
vocalist and guitarist) there are a couple of good news for the fans: First, Jimmy
has negotiated with Magdaline Records to re-release the River Disturbance CD with extra
tracks that were left off the original release. He now has the rights to release a lot of
demos, extras, B-sides as well as some home video footage of in studio footage and tour
footage. So, you never know what's gonna happen. Second, according to the Sanctuary Homepage a Sanctuary
Reunion Concert is scheduled for August. The tentative band list is Barren Cross,
Electrik, Jordan, Krush, Neon Cross, Overdrive,
Recon, Triple Ace, Vengeance and, of course, Deliverance. Jimmy has hinted that this might
be recorded and you'll be able to finally have a non-bootleg Deliverance concert album!!!
The expected lineup for the concert is Jimmy Brown (vocals, guitars) George Ochoa on
guitar, Mike Grato on Bass (bassist on the What A Joke and Stay Of Execution albums ), and
Jim Chaffin on drums (who was drummer for The Crucified and played several times with
Deliverance).

their Too Late For Living album originally released in 1988. The original went out of
print a couple of years ago. This is an exact reissue and sounds better since it was
mastered.
Bride is at this time in the studio
with producer Plinky Giglio. As you may know he was the producer of their Snakes In The
Playground album, released in 1992. Bride is going in without any patented formula. The
band has been reinvented over the past year with two new bandmembers and a whole new
outlook on the future. The ever-preverbal Dale Thompson is unleashing his most explicit
lyrics to date. This is aggressive Bride with songs titled Soul Winner, Never Thought
About Going Back and many others. This project will be released late summer with a fall
tour expected.

will be out later in the fall. In the meantime see the band on tour this summer with BEC
punkers Hangnail.
