Cottonbomb - Sidman, Whirlwind Records
| I shouldn't be reviewing this disc. Cottonbomb plays a kind of music that
Art For The Ears doesn't cover, and I'm far from an expert in this branche. Cottonbomb is
a German band that plays a raw, bluesy kind of rock. Sidman is their third album on
Whirlwind Records, a label mostly known for its metal and metalcore acts, like Saphena.
Saphena Drummer Axel happens to be one of the members of Cottonbomb. So, somehow the band
fits in. And their music is raw and powerful as can be heard in the energetic Damned To
Boogie. The vocals are raw too. Not all the songs are as raw as that one, nor the vocals.
The final song is quite mellow. The production is good. What more can I say about the sort
of product that I'm not acquainted with? Just listen to Cottonbomb on myspace and make up your own
mind. |
