Thy Bleeding Skies - Chapters Of
Downfall, Dark Balance
| Thy Bleeding Skies is a German/Finnish initiative. The group was formed
almost two years ago by Claudio Enzler (from Sacrificium & My Darkest Hate) and JJ
Kontoniemi (from Icon Clan & Deuteronomium). Chapters Of Downfall is their debut with
high quality melodic death metal. Songs are written for two guitars with one of them
playing the rhythm and the other a melody line. In Burning Angels you can even hear three
guitars, with two playing different melodies. In contrast with the melody is the deep
growl Claudio produces. The combination works fine and the production is crystal clear at
the same time. The music is usually mid tempo, sometimes slower (as in Slumber). Only on
rare occassions the tempo goes up, as you can hear in Insomnia. Sometimes the music could
be a bit wilder, with more guts. But this is a good debut anyway. Fans of melodic death
metal should at least check this one out. Thy Bleeding Skies just finished a European
tour, getting recognition everywhere. So, keep on eye on them! |
