The new Stryper album
The Covering will come out through Big3 Records/Sony on October 13th. The album contains
songs from other bands that influenced Stryper through the years.
And Disiciple
will release a new album in September called Horseshoes & Handgrenades. On myspace you
can listen to the new track Dear X (You Don't Own Me).
Bloodgood
will be releasing a 25th Anniversary Edition of their first EP Metal Missionaries. The CD
will include the original versions of Awake!, Accept The Lamb, Anguish & Pain and
Battle Of The Flesh, but also a demo version of a new song and a 16 minute interview with
Bloodgood from 1985.
The Brazilian metal band Scelerata found a new vocalist named Fabio Juan. With the new singer
they will record their third album this fall. Expect the CD to come out in the first half
of 2011.
On September 4th & 5th the Night Of Metal will be held in Assen, The Netherlands. The bands you
can see there are: Deuteronomium, Sacrificium, Illuminandi, Veritas Infinita and Rammas
Atas. The last band, Rammas Atas, can be described as industrial techno metal. Here's

Veritas
Infinita is in the middle of recording their first CD. It will contain five
melodic/symphonic metal songs. Their former keyboardplayer Maarten van Putten will also
participate in this project.

The Awakening will release a new
single and possibly an EP just before Christmas. The band is working with various people
on some remixes as well.
Norma Jean premiered their new
music video on myspace. The video was made for Deathbed Atheist and was directed by Linus
Johansson at Popcore Film:
Impending Doom released
their new record There Will Be Violence through Facedown Records. The band also made it to
the cover of the new HM Magazine.
Through Solace put a new
track on myspace called Distant Shores. Another song, Trials, will be added shortly. These
songs are the last contributions from Sean to the band and will be featured on the
upcoming split EP with Carry The Torch.
Betraying The Martyrs
played the Paris Extreme Fest along with Dark Funeral, Arch Enemy and Gorod. Here's

The Deliverance
tribute album Temporary Insanity A Salute to Deliverance will be released on
September 1st. This album is a double CD with thirty songs including two songs Deliverance
re-recorded. Deliverance also did a cover themselves, covering a song from Vector called
The Hunger And The Thirst. You can find the complete track listing here.
Seventh Avenue is still active. In
fact, they're collecting ideas for the new CD.
Ted Kirkpatrick, the drummer for Tourniquet, released another solo project. On the CD In The Shadow Of
The Masters he drums along classical music from Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin, Paganini
and others. Ted Kirkpatrick previously released Ode To A Roadkill with stoner metal and
vocals from animals... Both albums can be purchased at the Tourniquet store.
Red made a video for the song
Ordinary World that can be viewed on their website, along with a short documentary about
the making of the video. However, redmusiconline.com was down at the moment this was

Ecthirion has found a session
bassist who will play on the new album. Bassist Jeff Ward might also sing on the record.
Band leader Gabriel recently recorded piano in a church hall. Drums will be recorded this
summer at the Huddersfield University Recording Studios. Here's a video of Jeff playing

Slechtvalk fans who admire the
keyboard playing by Premnath may be interested to know he will release a solo album. The
record is called A Journey Through The Depths Of The Soul and it comes out in a few
months. However, musically Premnath is exploring different musical directions. His solo
work is keyboard oriented, easy listening material, with piano, harp, cello, timpani and

A Hill To Die Upon is
still working on their next album, the follow-up to Infinite Titanic Immortal. One of the
new songs is Chant Of The Mighty Offspring. You can listen to a demo version of this track
on myspace. A Hill To Die Upon will enter the Random Awesome studio this fall to do the
recordings. The mixing will be done in Sweden by none other than former Crimson Moonlight
guitarist Erik Tordsson. Pre-orders will be available around February 2011.
Mad Max
put the videoclip for Pinky Promise online. The song is taken from the Welcome America
album and the footage was filmed by Michael and Juergen at Rocklahoma 2010 and in Memphis
and Nashville:

The Showdown put a new song

Slechtvalk
informed that their show with Enslaved that was supposed to take place in De Kade,
Zaandam, Holland on October 20th, has been cancelled. The reason for the cancellation are
rumors spread about the band. After receiving soms mails from narrow-minded individuals
the management of Enslaved got the impression that Slechtvalk is some kind of evangelizing
metal band in the veins of Stryper. According to the management, Enslaved does not play
with religious or politically motivated bands. On myspace you can read a full statement from Slechtvalk band leader Shamgar.
Rock band Anberlin premiered their new

Praiser spent time in
the studio to record twelve new songs plus a cover track. The new tunes will be available

On August 3rd (USA)
and September 30th (UK) Mustaine: A Heavy Metal Memoir comes out. This is Dave Mustaine's
autobiography. Mustaine was a founding member of Metallica, but is best known for his band
Megadeth. With this band he
sold more than twenty million albums worldwide. Mustaine: A Heavy Metal Memoir describes
his life as a musician, but also his multiple battles with alcohol and drugs, and how
Alice Cooper played a role in one of his recoveries. Mustaine also writes about how
embracing Christianity helped him repair his relationship with his family and maintain his
sobriety.

Drummer Yuri Ruley
will leave MxPx to focus on family life.
The band just celebrated their 18th anniversary. In those eighteen years they sold nearly
2.5 million records. Ruley: "With MxPx being a touring band and constantly on the
road 9 months out of the year, I knew at some point it would have to come to an end, but
the reality of it is a lot harder than I thought it would be. MxPx has been my second
family for nearly two decades, but I need to step away to focus on raising my
family."
MxPx will play a
farewell show with Yuri Ruley on July 18th in Las Vegas, USA. They will perform the entire
third album, Life In General, the most celebrated release to date. After the departure of
Ruley MxPx will focus on the completion of their new live DVD and new EP.
The Showdown put a new
behind the scenes video online as they work on their next album Blood In The Gears. This
record comes out on August 24th through Solid State Records.
Inevitable End are in
studio HoBoRec with producer Ulf Blomberg to record their second album.

The new Children 18:3 video for
Cover Your Eyes is online now. The song was taken from the new album Rain's 'A Comin'.
Mortification is auditioning
drummers. The band has been without a drummer for eight months. Only serious applicants
are invited. Mortification is set to play some metal festivals in Europe next year.
Impellitteri is in the studio to work on
new material. Their latest album Wicked Maiden is yet to be released in the United States.
Maylene &
Sons Of Disaster will release a 7" on July 27th. This record will feature two
songs: Where The Saints Roam and Cheap Thrills Cost The Most. It will be accompanied by a
digital deluxe version of the album III with the video for Step Up (I'm On It) included.
MyChildren MyBride
released their new album Lost Boy. And here's the video for the first single Terra Firma:
World To Ashes is working
on new stuff. As they have no shows planned for the summer, they're concentrating on this
material.

Kekal will release a new album entitled 8.
Guess what? It's their eighth full length album! The name of the record label and the
release date are yet to be announced. The track listing is: Track One, Gestalt Principles

On July 20th a new
EP from 12 Stones will come out
called The Only Easy Day Was Yesterday. The band worked with producers David Bendeth and
Skidd Mills. 12 Stones also has a new single out. We Are One is dedicated to all the men
and women serving in the US army.
The nominees for
this year's Kerrang! Awards have been announced and Paramore is included in four
categories. Paramore is nominated for best video with Brick By Boring Brick, for best live
band, for best international act and for best album with Brand New Eyes.
Next tuesday Children 18:3 will release
their new album Rain's 'A Comin'. They also shot a video for Cover Your Eyes. Below you

studio album on July 16th. The record is called Welcome America. In the next four weeks

signed My Silent Wake.
This band will release their fourth full album in October 2010. To promote the record, My
Silent Wake will tour Europe beginning November 2010. The tour will include festivals like

Apeldoorn, The Netherlands), Blast of Eternity (Heilbronn, Germany) and club shows in at
